If you take the stock off you can put the spring and guide rod in the through great effort compress the spring and attach the stock i like to rotate the stock get the spring conpressed all the way then rotate the stock on to hold it in place then tighten it all the way but if you tighten it too much the bolt locks up or at least mine did i fixed this by tightening the nut on the rod now it cycles still need to function test

You don't have to go to that much effort and have a big mess to clean up afterwards. Just pour it all off into a container. The fat will rise. You can scoop it off separate from the liquid. I add tallow to my cooking oil to make the original McDonald's French fries. Yum.

I get powder between the slide plate. If I tighten the brass screws just a wee bit to tight, it's hard to cycle, if I just barely tighten the brass screws I get powder going everywhere.

Loved the video. Very useful. A little long and drawn out but very clear and informative. Thank you. I saw how you struggled getting the bolt and spring in place and I think there is an easier way to do this. I am not a gun guy and I could be completely wrong about this but before I found your video, I watched a 9 minute video by Jim Green, a gunsmith in Maine who calls himself downeastgunworks. It was a video on disassembly of the model 190. He took the stock off which looked very straightforward and that took all the tension off the spring and made reassembly a snap. I have not done this yet to my 190 and I could be talking out my hat, but I'm going to try it. My 190 sat up for about 5 years. I live in Florida and I think the humidity got to it. When I cock it, the firing pin wont snap and I think its just gummed up. Going to try to clean it. Thanks again for the video. I thought you did an excellent job.

I can’t get the barrel out of mine. I don’t think it has ever been cleaned and been through 3 generations. Any tips on getting it out. It seems like it’s carbon locked in the lugs. Everything else has came apart. I bet no one ever cleaned it because they didn’t know how to take it apart lol. Great video.

Bobby, good and informative video, I agree a bit too much chatter, but I am cool with it. What I would like to see in every video that is on the net about setting up the Sizing die is showing putting a sized case in a bullet case length gauge to show it was fully sized. I have set my dies so many times and I still do not get 100% "Kerplunk" (flat against the top ) on the gauge. I have set it on the plate, gave it a 1/4 turn and1/2 turn and still do not get 100% sized cases. I am using new Hornady and Starline brass with different powders. I am not new to reloading, but this is my first attempt reloading straight wall pistol loads. I am loading for my S&W Equalizer 9mm and will be reloading for my Henry Big Boy Rem 44 Mag and my Colt 1911 45acp. My daily carry was a Glock for 25 years. I have had 17 of them in that time. My daily carry is now a Springfield xd-45. I have owned every pistol known to man, and the Springfield XD is by far the best package of reliable, accurate, durable, and comfortable in the hand.
